Putting some henna in the bride's hands and some on the fingers the night before she's gonna get married with a special ceremony which includes just females is a Turkish tradition. Males gather somewhere else and they drink, sing, etc...

its an Arab tradition too... the Arab and Turkish culture is very similar in many ways :)
